2024 Truth and Other tHings: A Journey Through ALithea
I designed and created this puppet for the production of an orginal story developed by the Patchwork Production collective. Standing at just over nine feet tall, this puppet was made from bamboo, reed, and fabric. Built as a three person backpack puppet one person carried the boy and controlled the head while two more puppeteers opperated the arms on either side. Featured a turning head and internal lights this puppet was a central point of the show.
As the puppet designer I oversaw a team in the creation of shadow puppets for the same show. I created detailed documentation to help guide the crew through the process. Below you can see some of the preliminary experiments, one of my design slides, and the final puppets.
